Course Overview:
Fun with Numbers is a fun-filled, two-month foundational math course designed for children aged 4 years and above. This after-school program introduces children to the world of numbers through engaging activities and interactive learning that build a strong base in early mathematics.
From number recognition to basic operations like addition, subtraction, and early multiplication, this course develops number sense and confidence in young learners through visual aids, hands-on practice, and daily life examples.
What Students Will Learn:
Month 1 – Counting & Basic Number Concepts:
Recognition of numbers and counting activities
Forward counting till 100
Backward counting from 50
Number spellings (one to ten)
Understanding the concept of teen and ty numbers
What comes before and after
Introduction to the concept of units and tens
Month 2 – Basic Arithmetic & Logical Thinking:
Addition and subtraction using objects
Using number lines for solving sums
Practicing forward and backward counting to solve problems
Introduction to multiplication and division through grouping
Understanding greater than and smaller than concepts
Learning Outcomes:
By the end of the course, students will be able to:
Identify and count numbers up to 100 confidently
Understand and use number sequences both forward and backward
Perform basic addition and subtraction using multiple methods
Grasp early multiplication and division through visual grouping
Recognize the relationship between numbers using comparison and place value
