TechTots: Coding Course for Kids is an exciting one-month program designed for children aged 6 years and above. Offered by Bright Kids Virtual Primary School’s After-School Club Program, this course introduces young learners to the basics of computers, coding, and digital creativity in a fun, practical way.
Students begin their journey with an introduction to technology, gaining confidence in using a pointing device and keyboard. They’ll explore their creativity through digital drawing and step into the world of coding by creating their own Flappy Bird game and solving Maze March puzzles on Code.org.
The course helps children understand the types of media and multimedia, develop word processing skills, and learn essential online safety practices. Learners will strengthen research skills, discover how to use search engines effectively, and gain an introduction to creating presentations and following basic netiquette rules for safe and respectful online communication.
Through digital storytelling and coding games, TechTots helps young learners build critical thinking, problem-solving skills, and creativity — laying the foundation for future success in the digital world.
